Right, I know there’s probably already 5 plus Oasis songs in the Friday Beats back catalogue already but this week it’s with good reason. A straight up plug. Liam G released his debut solo album last month and it’s great. Today, Noely G releases HIS latest album and it’s reportedly great and Saturday night sees my Oasis cover band, Shakerfaker playing live at Yah Yah’s, Fitzroy. We dress up in wigs & parkas, we shout & fight onstage and of course, we play Oasis hits (just like Some Might Say, their first ever no. 1 single) really bloody well. It’s a great laugh and an excuse to drunkenly singalong to some of the greatest Rock’n’Roll songs of the last few decades… good times guaranteed from 9pm.
