Have you noticed interiors have become… really quiet? I’ve been a designer for over 20 years, and I’ve seen a lot of trends come and go, but this idea of ‘quiet luxury’ feels like it’s taken over. Don’t get me wrong, a refined neutral palette is timeless, but somewhere along the way, it’s become the default. And I think it’s changed how we think about design, in a way that’s really holding us back. So in this video, I want to challenge the idea of ‘quiet luxury’ with evidence-based design principles and historical references that have stood the test of time. Because when you understand what actually makes a space feel luxurious… It’s not about playing it safe, and it definitely isn’t beige.
I break down the psychology behind the right colour and forms to choose for a luxurious interior, and take a historical look and design deep dive into some of the finishes that best represent ‘luxury’. Watch the video for more detailed information and examples of how to apply these finishes to your home, or if you want a quick reward… Download your LUXURY CHEAT SHEET below, you’re welcome!
