No doubt, you’ve heard this song. Or a version of it. It’s a banger.
This song was released in 2010 to a reasonably lukewarm response, except for the Indie community who embraced it wholeheartedly. it was a big hit in Europe. especially Robyn’s native Sweden where it spent a LONG time in the charts. The song has come to find much broader recognition after ‘Britain’s got Talent’s’ Callum Scott wowed judges and viewers alike with his stripped down, mostly acoustic interpretation earlier this year.
This version highlighted the longing and sadness contained within while still giving voice to the optimism and joy as well.
Whichever way you choose to enjoy this song, it’s hard not to enjoy.
