As weeks go, this has been a pretty terrible one for your pop music scribe.
Almost NOTHING has gone my way this week.
From bad news to bad luck, this week has gone from bad to worse in just a matter of days but some truly great friends have really helped me. Simple things like listening to me gripe, talking through possible solutions or even just spending time with me as I wallow have made the biggest difference. Other people’s simple positivity has been a Godsend at times, too.
Now, I’m certain there are people out there with bigger problems than mine but thats just it. Everyone’s problems are the biggest problems in the world to the person experiencing them. I’ve been extremely lucky that a few special people offered to take on my problems for a while too, and help lighten my load.
Things are beginning to look up for me thanks to this awesome little support network of people who love me and care about me. So, as YAZZ would say… ‘The only way is up!”
Sadly, a lot of people don’t feel like they have anyone or anywhere to turn in times of trouble and that sucks. If you or anyone you know ever feels like things are getting a bit too tough, there are many wonderful organisations who would love to listen and lend a helping hand…
